“Hi, I’m Pam”
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, with a concentration in Piano Performance, and a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching.
I have served as a community college adjunct professor for courses in music appreciation (both classical and jazz/pop) as well as director of the college choir director and instructor for group piano. I have also worked as a band director for 5th grade – high school students, an elementary/middle school general music teacher, a preschool music teacher (“Mrs. Music”), and a church choir director for a wide range of singers and handbell ringers. I have taught piano since 1985 in my home studio, ages preschool through senior citizen.
I currently work as Director of Music/Organist at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in St. Joseph MI, directing the Chancel Choir and a handbell choir.
I moved to St. Joe from Three Rivers, MI during 2010 due to my husband Rick’s job. St. Joe is also Rick’s hometown, so he’s returning to his roots. My oldest son, Andy, graduated from the University of Michigan and now lives and works in Boston. Younger son, Tim, graduated from Hope College at the end of 2010 with a degree in business management. Other members of the household are Wrigley, our black lab, and a large tank of tropical fish. We enjoy working on updating the inside and outside of our new home. We like camping, U of M football and getting to know the area. Additionally, I like reading, baking, and exercising.
